Does Hypnosis work to reduce Stress, overcome Fear and Phobia? Before answering the question let us first familiarized our selves about the information about Hypnosis. Hypnosis is a special psychological state where the subject (the one being used of hypnotism) is being subjected to hypnotic suggestions by the hypnotist (the one who use hypnotism). It is usually induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction, which is commonly composed of a long series of preliminary instructions and suggestions.
Hypnosis can be use for many things and for this articles it is about stress (a response of the human mind and body to troubling internal and external conditions), fear and phobia (intense and irrational fears that create strong fear and panic in a person). These things can affect a person physically, mentally, and emotionally; and can lead to some diseases or disorders.
Doctors must first diagnose your condition before considering hypnotherapy to know what needs to be treated. This is true if your condition is psychological (for example phobia or anxiety) and needs evaluation from a psychiatrist. Hypnotherapy could make your symptoms worse if not given an accurate diagnosis; this includes the development of false memories (confabulations) because of the unconscious mind.
Using hypnotherapy to cure Phobias; first thing is to work with the client to discover the causal event, and once found, to desensitize the client from it. Once this has been
The second thing to do is to give hypnotic suggestion, metaphor and Neuro-Linguistic Programming will be used to create a new template for the client so they can be in a state of calmness. When the mind is in state of calmness; it can be reprogrammed to see things in a different way and to accept situations as normal that would previously have been viewed as threatening.
Hypnotherapy helps a person to become very relaxed and attain an altered state of consciousness. At this state of the mind, a person becomes very focused and attentive and is can easily be driven to the suggestions made by the hypnotherapist. The hypnotherapist will then help the patient develop a better understanding of the conditions that have contributed to the stress that he or she feels. Making a person understands how stress can be harmful and how he can handle stressful situations is the main goal of hypnotherapy. The whole process is successful if the patient will have a more realistic perception of the problems he or she faces and to be calmer to the stressful situations that a person encounters everyday.
