There is nothing you can do when you have eczema on the face. This could be the most embarrassing place to have eczema because of its visibility. Once you have eczema on your face or even on your neck, you may feel very depressed and can affect your self-confidence. It is hard to deal with eczema’s dry, itchy and red skin especially when you have it right through your face.

Eczema on the face and neck has the same symptoms with those in the other parts of the body. It is usually characterized by redness, dryness, and itchiness of the skin. If it happened that your eczema is severe, you may also experience scabbing, skin cracking, scaling, and oozing of fluid. The main symptoms found in the skin are redness and constant itchiness. If you cannot control scratching the affected area, this could cause the skin to become thicker depending on your skin tone. Thickening and darkening of the skin could in turn cause normal markings to the skin. The most common part on the face where this occurs is the eyelids.

Both adults and children are affected by facial eczema. In infants, eczema usually occurs on the forehead, cheeks, arms, legs, scalp, and neck. When this develops in adulthood, eczema attacks the most common areas including the creases beside the nose, the scalp, as well as the inner eyebrows. If eczema develops on your scalp, it would shed dandruff and make the skin look reddish. You can also see flakes in yellowish color. This is the most difficult kind of eczema to deal with since in comes back from time to time.

It is proven that having eczema on the face could really cause you emotional stress and trauma. If this happens, you should consult dermatologists and seek help. Determine ways to avoid flare ups and stay away from substances which could trigger eczema such as soaps, cosmetics, clothing, detergents, and sometimes sweat. Use plenty of moisturizer on your skin to prevent it form becoming dry and itchy.

One cause of eczema is imbalance in your digestive system so maintain your diet and monitor the level of your acidity. Take in supplements to help in controlling acidity and preventing eczema from occurring. Also take in Vitamin E supplements since these are good for the skin and aid in the healing process of the body in general. Treat infections by using natural treatment product called neem, which is an evergreen plant, used as poultice on the skin to prevent infections.

Keeping these reminders would help you boost your self-confidence and keep you away from stress because of the trauma of having facial eczema. Just always take good care of your health and you can prevent the occurrence of this kind of skin condition.
