How to fight Swine Flu through Yoga?

Swine flu has been spreading to all countries. The news about Swine flu has dominated the planet and made the public forget about recession and other correlated problems. In this lesson, let us see what exactly swine flu is and how yoga helps you protect yourself from swine flu.

Swine Flu is popularly called as the H1N1 flu and it is one among the several types of influenza virus. Swine flu is mainly found only in pigs and people who are next to pigs or people who eat pigs are prone to such virus. It has now become an epidemic and has caused loss of life in all parts of the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) is forced to announce this swine flu as "Public Health Crisis of International Concern". Tami Flu is the vaccine that is used for the treatment of this type of influenza virus.

Who are affected by swine flu?

A report states that swine flu is commonly found in people with very poor immunity and in people who are affected with asthma. These are the categories of people who need to be in red alert zone. So if you want to improve your immunity strength, then you must practice Yoga. There are several yoga poses which help you develop immunity and get rid of breathing related problems.

There are many different types of Asanas or yoga postures which help you strengthen your lungs. Correct form of breathing has effectively been found to heal and avoid a number of diseases. Pranayama or the breathing work outs adds more strength to the inner organs, especially the nerves and glands of the body. Regular practice of the various types of Pranayama such as Nadi Sodhana, Ujjayi Pranayama, Shitali Pranayama, Digra Pranayama and Kapalbhati Pranayama, has been found to increase the resistance power to fight against diseases.

A person who has a very strong body is less prone to swine flu when compared with others who are weak. Thus, Yoga provides the winning mantra which will help you protect yourself from the swine flu and also to get well soon if you are suffering from it already.
