Kundalini Yoga:

Kundalini yoga is an ancient yoga that has been followed in the west. In 1969, a person by name Yogi Bhajan founded 3HO which is the Healthy, Happy, and Holy Organization. The word Kundalini means is untapped energy which is at the base of the spine.Enlightenment occurs when this energy reaches the Chakra. Kundalini energy is shown as a snake coiled at the base of the spine.

Kundalini yoga is a meditative and physical discipline within the tradition of Yoga which is the subdivision of Hatha yoga. It explains the advanced yoga exercises. They are also known as Kriya Yoga or simply Kriya. According to culture of Hindus Kundalini yoga is a pure spiritual science that leads to God-Realization and enlightenment under the help of a Spiritual Master. The Kundalini means getting of inner knowledge.

According to Hindu tradition, the technique is communicated from Master to disciple when it is deemed ready. Some methods were made public in the west by rogue disciples. Failing to follow strict instructions may lead to psychic disturbances and sometimes mental damage can happen. The conditions are known as Kundalini Syndrome.

Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of prana. Prana is the energy we have within the body. A seeker acquires power through meditation and concentration.

Simplified Kundalini Yoga meditation practice:

The following are the various stages of meditation.

A trained master initiates the student into meditation practice by making him/her to focus between the eyebrows and meditate.

After a few days of the practice, energy increase to a great extent. After this stage the student will be thought Shanti Yoga.

The third stage is Thuriya Yoga, which is meditation at the crown chakra, which is known as Sahasradara.
