Hello people,

This lesson is about muscle building workouts for your forearms. Our forearms consist of many small muscles. Although they're small, strong forearms get noticed even when you have your clothes on. Small forearms make you look skinny even if you have a really muscular body behind your T-shirt. Some people get really obsessed with their forearms muscles. You do not need to dedicate a day's workout to your forearms. Try training your forearms on a day together with a large muscle. Example your chest or your back.

Barbell curls work well for your forearms. In this lesson, i will introduce to you dumbbell and barbell curls to pump those muscles in your forearms.

The first curl i want to share with you will be the reverse barbell curls. The starting position is with you, gripping a barbell at your thigh level. Your arms should be straightened and relaxed. Next, using your forearm muscles, lift the barbell towards your forehead, without moving your elbows. Bend your elbows to 90 degrees but keep them tucked close to your body. Return to the starting position and repeat till you complete a set.

The second curl that i am sharing will be the seated dumbbell wrist curls. For this exercise, you will need a pair of dumbbells instead of a barbell. Do not try to use heavy dumbbells. The forearm muscles are smaller and we do not want to injure our wrists while training. Firstly, sit on a bench with the dumbbells in your hands. Rest your forearms on your thighs, palms facing the ground. Next, lift the dumbbells by moving only your wrists. If you do this correctly, you should feel a strain in your forearms.

Both of these exercises will help build your forearm muscles. However, do take precautions while performing them as we might injure our wrists easily. Forearm muscles are smaller and they do not require heavy weights to grow. Do not hesitate to drop the weights to the ground if you feel pain in your wrists.
