Performance:

The 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens functions perfectly well and the pictures and videos could be directly uploaded to networking sites like Flickr or YouTube. Music also could be shared in similar way. The phone supports EDGE technology to transfer data and has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. There is full QWERTY keyboard which helps in composing mails. The whole screen has a touch screen interface which works perfectly well. There is a handwriting recognition facility, a built in FM radio and podcast support. All these features make using the touch screen and Multimedia options a pleasure.

The Good:

The video quality is quite good. There call quality also does not seem to have nay distortion. The 8 GB memory which is expandable up to 16 GB is a definite advantage.

The Bad:

The QWERTY keyboard is quite small to use. We have to tap twice on few menus to make it work. It is quite confusing which menu works with a single tap and which one with a double tap.

The Bottom Line:

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic could be easily considered as Nokia’s iPhone. It has all the features required for a high end multimedia phone. This is a worthy product, with high cost to be purchased by luxury lovers.

Additional Features:

The touch screen interface is the main highlight. We can control the whole phone by just a few taps on the phone. There is a vibration indicating each tap is registered. The enhanced battery life of 8.8 hours leaves its mark quite well as multimedia phones generally have low battery life.

Rating:4 star rating ****

4 Stars (Excellent):

A product with 4 star rating scores high on its overall performance and usability. This product meets all of its intended users' needs and has no significant drawbacks.
