Samsung Q2 is a very inexpensive MP3 player with good quality sound, lot of handy features and 16GB memory. The design is nice and has a very rich look.

Design and Features:

Samsung Q2 has a neat black finish which is similar to a low cost mobile phone. The whole set is made of plastic and has chrome like border wrapping around the edges and the whole set is quite compact and fits into any pocket easily.

It has a 2.4 inch display screen with 320x240-pixel resolution. So the images are displayed with good color saturation. The touch screen interface is very user friendly. The design is pretty simple with just two touch pad markings below the display screen along with the normal central pad and buttons around it. On the right side we have a power or hold key and record button. The headphone jack is found at the top of the device.

MP3, Flac, OGG and WMA file formats are supported and the music is organized into common categories such as artist and album. Talking about video MPEG4 and WMV video formats are supported and JPEG format is supported for photos. There is a built in FM tuner with RDBS, auto scanning capabilities and many presets. There is a built in voice recorder and a microphone. Even text files and datacasts are accepted by the MP3 player.

Performance:

Samsung Q2 has a lot of impressive features. It is compatible with MAC and Windows OS. Music transfer could be done through drag drop mode or any jukebox like windows media player or rhapsody. The battery life is just normal.

Samsung Q2 has good stellar quality audio. We also have a five-band user EQ which is fully customizable. The music output does not have any major thumping and is very rich and warm to be heard. All the instruments played could be heard very clearly.

The Good:

The price of the Samsung Q2 is its main highlight. It is impossible to believe how they could fix all these features into such an affordable cost. The sound quality is good and additional features like FM tuner and games are its other highlights.

The Bad:

The design does not have any manual control buttons even for volume. Everything has to be controlled through the menu. The battery life is so low and the touchpad interface is a bit hard to use.

The Bottom Line:

Samsung Q2 is probably the most inexpensive MP3 player you could get hold of with such wonderful features. All the features function absolutely well and the quality of the sound and the display are much above average.
