So I was fiddling with my iphone 3g the other day trying to change a few settings. Anyway I came across the a screenshot of the network settings screen in my Photo Album. I thought this was a bug or querk.

Anyway after searching the net (as you do) I came across the explanation at few different sites. Cnet had a video.

So the basics of it is:

Press HOME button and SLEEP/WAKE button together quickly and a screen shot will be taken and added to your photo album.

This is handy way have screenshots for lessons on the iphone. Great way to save a map for when no data connection. I guess since you can take screen shots of anything on the screen you could use this to make your wallpaper of things like a youtube vid or website photo.

Heres one more screenshot of me trying to spell boobs upside down on the calculator. Damn you fancy numbers.

I also came across this group in flickr that shows all iphone screenshots. So maybe if you get some interesting screenshots you can contribute them to this group.
