Sony PlayStation 3 Slim - 120GB
Product Introduction:
Sony PlayStation 3 Slim - 120GB is an improved version of older PlayStation 3 with 60 GB memory. The super slim attractive design with matte finish and immense memory space is sure to attract many gamers.

Design and Features:
Sony PlayStation 3 Slim has the outer design more or less similar to the older one except for its reduced bulkiness. The whole device has a full matte finish and has a mirrored strip next to the opening of the slot-loading disc player on the front of the unit and some shiny plastic on the sides.
The device is nearly 33 percent smaller than the older version and weighs less as well. We have a few major physical changes while most of the features offered are similar. The touch-sensitive on/off button has been replaced by a standard push button. The master power switch on the back of the unit is removed now.
The processor speed is same while the new version is powered by a new 45nm version Cell processor. This has helped in reducing the size and further cut down the power consumption from 280 watts to 250 watts. At the back of the device we have a port for Ethernet jack, an HDMI output and SPDIF output. We also have an AV output for analog audio and video.
Coming to the features part, Sony hasn’t added anything much and hasn’t cut anything much as well owing to the thin design. One change is that we could not install other OS like Linux as in older version but all other features like Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in 2.0 Blu-ray player with BD-Live capabilities, two USB ports for charging Bluetooth wireless controller and external storage device plugging are all the same.
Performance:
The backward support for PS2 and other models is removed from this device. We have MPEG-1, MPEG-2 playback support and MPEG-4/h.264 video files support. This device can also act as a media hub with any DLNA compatible networks like PC or laptops. The speed of the device is quite good.
The price rate has come down extensively and most of the games are well supported in this version than in the previous one. The sound and the video quality for high end games are nearly the same as the previous PS3 version.
