If you are finding it hard to stop smoking, there is help. Programs have been set up to help those who have a desire to quit. Finding the one that is right for you can be only a click or a phone call away. It is said that 90% of people who try to quit on their own fail in their efforts. Meaning that only 5% are successful in quitting and staying of cigarettes. Below are some programs whose main focus is to help those who want to quit. Of this is you, then take a look at what these programs have to offer.

Smoke Away Stop Smoking Program:

A smoking cessation support program that uses a variety of natural herbs that help maintain your sense of health and well being while kicking the habit.

Online Stop Smoking Program:

Quit for life program: Most smokers do so because of emotional stress, addiction, or other reasons. Whatever be the reason, we help you quit it altogether.

SmokerAID program: Utilizes a holistic approach, including mental, emotional, physical and support, and helps you to understand why you smoke in the first place.

Nicotine Anonymous: Is a non-profit organization that uses the 12 step program to stop smoking.

How long does nicotine stay in the body?

Nicotine is metabolized by the liver and excreted from the kidneys during urination. This addictive substance has a half life of approximately two hours. While smoking, nicotine accumulates in the body, resulting in it's detection in the blood for six to eight hours after smoking cessation. After two days of not smoking, nicotine has usually left the body.

Pharmacological and behavioral characteristics of tobacco dependency are like that of the dependency of heroin and cocaine.
