Design and Features:

The color of the enclosure is black. It mainly comprise of AV Receiver and speaker systems. The surround sound is more effective compared to its predecessors. The surround and surround-back speakers are identical. The approximate weight is of about 2.6 pounds each, and about 8.25in tall. The front speakers have a 6.5-inch woofer and .5-inch tweeter; the surround speakers have a 3-inch woofer and .5-inch tweet. The speakers are finished with textured plastic.

Performance:

The performance of the system is pretty impressive delivering quality sound with better clearance. The speakers from Yamaha and the integration of the sub-woofer made excellent performance. The Aperion sound was much improved, bass richness, quality, and fact were considerably better. In general dynamics and vivacity were well presented. The receiver is capable of up converting the analog signals to the HDMI.

The Good:

It is cost efficient compared to other models. The quality of sound produced by the 7.1 sound systems is absolutely good. It comprises of an AV receiver along with the speaker system. The product also covers four HDMI inputs along with an iPod dock. Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding are some of the add-ons to the system. It is capable of up converting analog video signals to 1080p.

The Bad:

The speakers are designed to be very large such that it cant be installed easily in small rooms. Sounding sub-woofer is not much impressive. The onscreen display can be updated with better standards.

The bottom line:

The sound production is better though only seemed to produce more efficient sub-woofer sound systems. The system is also equipped with iPod dock making it more special in use.

Additional Features:

The iPod dock, On-screen display, music enhancer, Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer (YPAO) are some add-ons to the system.
